Championing Integrated Quality Cancer Care
Philippine College of Surgeons Cancer Commission Foundation (PCS CANCOM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Filipinos on their cancer journeys and fostering a path toward better quality of life and survivorship. Since 2019, we have been bridging gaps in cancer care across the Philippines through training, partnerships, research, and patient empowerment.
We are an active partner in implementing the National Integrated Cancer Control Act (NICCA Law, RA 11215), helping ensure that every Filipino has access to equitable, person-centered, and quality cancer care.
The Challenge We Face
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the Philippines. Yet access to timely diagnosis, quality treatment, and coordinated support remains uneven.
We believe every Filipino deserves equitable, person-centered, and quality cancer care.
How We Make a Difference
We focus on solutions that change lives:
Capacity Building – Training health professionals and institutions nationwide.
Patient & Community Empowerment – Creating resources for families and frontline health workers.
Research & Innovation – Generating local evidence to shape better cancer policies.
Partnerships & Advocacy – Building a united movement for stronger cancer care systems.

Message from the Chairperson
Cancer care in the Philippines cannot be defined by isolated moments of clinical intervention alone — it is a continuum of human experience marked by hope, struggle, partnership, and relentless pursuit of better outcomes for every Filipino. This truth has guided me long before formal roles, laws, or titles — from grassroots advocacy to shaping system-wide solutions that touch lives across our nation.
The Philippine College of Surgeons Cancer Commission Foundation stands for a profound conviction: that every Filipino — regardless of income, geography, or circumstance — deserves equitable, person-centered, high-quality cancer care. Our Vision to build a stronger Philippines with improved survivorship and outcomes, and our Mission to advance quality cancer care through integrated multisectoral, multidisciplinary, and multistakeholder action, are more than statements — they are commitments we relentlessly fulfill through programs, partnerships, and policies.
From capacity building and strengthening tumor boards nationwide, to patient and community empowerment, research and innovation, and strategic advocacy, PCS CanCom brings practical solutions to real challenges. Our work is grounded in collaboration — across clinical disciplines, public health leadership, government, industry, academe, and community partners — because no single sector can solve the cancer burden alone.
Sustainability for us means looking beyond today. It means forging enduring partnerships with all sectors — from government agencies like the Department of Health and academic institutions, to industry allies, civil society, and enterprises — to ensure that cancer care is built on systems that endure, improve, and expand with time. These partnerships allow us to invest not just in treatment, but in prevention, early detection, coordinated care pathways, policy implementation, data-driven decision making, and community resilience — from barangays to national platforms.
Aligned with the National Integrated Cancer Control Act (NICCA) and national priorities, PCS CanCom remains a steadfast partner in bridging policy with practice, translating evidence into action, and catalyzing innovations that elevate care standards. Our annual initiatives — including the Philippine National Cancer Summit and multidisciplinary workshops — are expressions of this mission, fostering shared learning, co-creation, and unified commitment across stakeholders.
This Commission is about stewardship, courage to act collaboratively, and dedication to outcomes that matter most: lives saved, families supported, communities empowered, and systems sustained. We do this with humility, integrity, and vision — believing that what we build together will outlast any single term or mandate.
We invite you to walk with us — as partners, as advocates, and as co-creators of a future where cancer care in the Philippines is equitable, excellent, and enduring.
Highlights
Better cancer care doesn’t happen by chance—it happens when communities come together.
Over the past years, the Philippine National Cancer Summit has brought together leaders, advocates, professionals, and institutions to push cancer care forward—shaping policies, strengthening partnerships, and centering the voices that matter most.
In 2026, we move further.
The PCS Cancer Commission Foundation (PCS CanCom) invites changemakers across government, healthcare, civil society, patient groups, academe, the private sector, and advocacy communities to be part of a growing cancer care community committed to real, lasting impact.
This is where conversations turn into collaboration—and collaboration into real change for patients, families, and survivors.
Let’s move from intention to action, ensuring that every Filipino affected by cancer is seen, heard, and supported.

WORLD CANCER DAY FEB 4
Cancer is not one story.
Every Filipino’s cancer journey is UNIQUE.
This World Cancer Day, we stand #UnitedByUnique—with every patient, survivor, caregiver, and health worker whose lived experience reminds us that cancer care must begin with the person, not just the disease.
As a proud member of UICC (Union for International Cancer Control), PCS Cancer Commission stands with the Philippines and the global community in advocating for quality, person-centered cancer care for every Filipino.
💜 Many stories. One shared fight.
🌏 Local action. Global solidarity.
This call continues at the Philippine National Cancer Summit 2026:
“Scaling Up What Matters Most: Person-Centered and Integrated Cancer Care for Every Filipino.”
We invite patients, survivors, caregivers, health professionals, advocates, LGUs, and partners to stand with our country, join the global cancer community, and help build a cancer care system that truly listens, understands, and responds to people—as people.
Cancer awareness is not just about knowing the disease.
It’s about knowing the people behind it.
This Cancer Awareness Month, PCS CanCom stands with every Filipino patient, survivor, caregiver, and health worker—reminding us that quality cancer care means listening, understanding, and responding to people as people.
Awareness must lead to action.
Action must lead to access. And access must always lead to person-centered, compassionate, and integrated care—no matter where you are in the Philippines.
Be part of the movement for better cancer care—join the Philippine National Cancer Summit 2026!
This Valentine’s Day, we celebrate a love that saves lives.
February 14 also marks the anniversary of the signing of the National Integrated Cancer Control Act (NICCA)—a powerful reminder that love can be expressed through policies that protect, care for, and uplift every Filipino facing cancer.
At PCS CanCom, we believe that love is access, love is dignity, and love is quality, person-centered cancer care.
💜 Love that listens.
💜 Love that shows up.
💜 Love that leaves no one behind.
On this day of hearts and hope, we recommit to turning love into action—for patients, survivors, families, and communities across the Philippines.
Because when it comes to cancer care,
#LoveIsPurple.
CNY 2026
This Chinese New Year, we welcome hope, health, and new beginnings.
As families come together to celebrate renewal and prosperity, PCS CanCom shares a simple wish:
that every Filipino facing cancer may have access to quality, compassionate, and person-centered care—today and in the year ahead.
The Lunar New Year reminds us that progress is built step by step, through unity, care for one another, and systems that protect what matters most—people.
May this new year bring stronger communities, renewed commitment, and continued action toward a cancer care system where no one is left behind.
From our PCS CanCom family to yours, we wish everyone good health, strength, and hope.
INTERNATIONAL CHILDHOOD CANCER DAY
Every child with cancer deserves more than survival—they deserve a future.
On International Childhood Cancer Day, PCS CanCom stands with children fighting cancer, their families, and the health workers who care for them—calling for timely, equitable, and person-centered childhood cancer care across the Philippines.
No child’s chance at life should depend on where they are born, how much their family earns, or how far they must travel to receive care. Awareness must lead to action, and compassion must be matched with strong health systems and sustained investment in childhood cancer care.
On February 15, we honor the courage of our children, the strength of their families, and the responsibility we all share to build a future where every child has access to quality diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care.
💛 Because children deserve to grow, dream, and thrive—beyond cancer.
