March is Kidney Cancer Awareness Month!
Kidney cancer may not always show symptoms, but early detection can save lives. Many cases are found by chance through ultrasounds or CT scans—making routine health check-ups more important than ever.
Know Your Risk!
High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, or Heart Disease? Take extra care of your kidney health.
Imaging Tests Show a Mass? Don’t wait—consult a Urologist immediately.
Early Detection = High Cure Rates! The sooner kidney cancer is treated, the better the outcomes.
This March, let’s raise awareness and take action. Your health matters—don’t ignore the signs!
Kidney cancer may rank 14th among the most common cancers worldwide, but its impact can be life-changing—especially when detected late. Early detection is key!
Dr. Rodolfo I. De Guzman, President of the Philippine Society of Uro-Oncologists, emphasizes:
“While there are no symptoms specific for kidney cancer, early detection rates have risen due to incidental findings on ultrasounds and CT scans. If you have suspicious findings, consult a Urologist immediately—treatment for early-stage kidney cancer has very high cure rates.”
Take charge of your kidney health:
If you have hypertension, diabetes, or heart disease, monitor your kidney function closely.
If an imaging test reveals a renal mass or complex cyst, don’t wait—seek medical advice immediately.
Early treatment improves survival and quality of life!
The PCS Cancer Commission Foundation and the Philippine Society of Uro-Oncologists are united in advocating for awareness, early diagnosis, and multidisciplinary cancer care.
Let’s work together to fight kidney cancer and save lives!
